As a school, we are dedicated to discipleship and teaching the biblical truth on The Mountain of Arts (Fashion) & Entertainment.Through our courses, seminars and community gatherings, we aim to specifically address the issues that have been brought out by the reality of modern fashion, such as:➤ Fashion damage control (e.g. how what we wear affect our identity)

Since our launch in November 2020, it's been apparent to us that God is doing something unprecedented on The Mountain of Arts (Fashion) & Entertainment and how many believers in the artistic industries worldwide start to realize that things need to change in the Name of Jesus.Often though, they do not know where to start...In July 2023, in addition to its educational core, the ministry presented its consultancy branch which is our business unit. The consultancy has been specifically created to empower faith+fashion believers in their creative and business pursuits as the Lord leads them.

Why this book?

"I do not actually see many books on fashion and Christianity... Perhaps, when hearing this, you would wonder: “Why are you looking for them at all?” And the fact of the matter is that yes, actually, I have been. Of course, this pursuit of mine undoubtedly stems from the simple fact that I work in fashion and I am a Christian. I guess there is not much mystery to this one’s desire to put two and two together (as one may phrase it). And yet, the more I think about it, the more I grow in my conviction that there is more to this than just me trying to solve "a math problem”. Besides, going back to the original thought of how there is not much written on the subject of fashion and Christianity (indeed so), I cannot help but feel perplexed as to how it is possible that such vast pool of rich material (e.g. arts, creativity, entertainment, show business) is largely left unattended by church, Christ’s body on earth".

—This is an actual excerpt, although slightly tweaked in words, from the ‘“I AM" GOD OF FASHION’ original blurb. We decided to put it here as addressing the above 'Why this book?' question because it seemed both fitting and on-point.Simply put, the author had a revelation, a personal question. And when she could not find any answer to it, she just went ahead to offer hers to the best of her ability. Isn’t it how we all ought to be when encountering a problem? And as for what came out of that her endeavor, please feel free to see (and read) it for yourself.

ANASTACIA PLASTININA

About the author

Ana Plastinina is a marketing specialist and fashion entrepreneur. Throughout her career, she has been blessed with some of the most versatile experience that this industry could offer. Starting her first international project in 2011, she was able to explore the depth of this field and ultimately, cultivate a heart after the peace, order and wholesome solutions for this industry. Which in her universe—by being a Christian—implied turning and bringing fashion back to its original Author and Creator, the God of The Bible.As a result to this her pursuit, in 2020, Ana authored '"I AM" GOD OF FASHION', a book exploring the world and industry of fashion from the perspective of The Kingdom of God and eternal truths as The Scripture presents them. Later the same year, the eponymous ministry and school were born. And ever since then—or 4 years later—Ana continues to educate, equip, connect and uplift believers on The Mountain of Arts (Fashion) & Entertainment to grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ as well as their respective vocation and calling.Ana hold a Masters in Fashion Business from IFA PARIS/POLIMODA and at the moment, quite literally, resides between the UK and China.

'God of Fashion' ministry was formed in the end of 2020 after the publishing of the eponymous book and around its overarching message, i.e. the importance of introducing the truth and wisdom of The Bible into the fashion industry.We are an online ministry that is primarily expressed through the educational and community-oriented projects that are created and calibrated for the global faith+fashion community.As a school, we are dedicated to discipleship and teaching the biblical truth on The Mountain of Arts (Fashion) & Entertainment. As of today, we offer four of them and they all run on a rotating basis throughout the year.Although every course is unique and strictly follow the scope and subject of its own, by format, however, all of them bear these marks of resemblance (so you know what to expect):➤ They are online.

'CONSUMING FIRE: Breaking Down The Ethics of (Fashion) Consumption Biblically' is one of our most recent courses and it was launched in May 2024.It is a 6-week online course on how we buy, own and manage our clothes and looks and what secrets we can glean from The Scripture to that end.According to Sustainyourstyle.org, a sustainability-centric consultancy and educational resource, "we now have 5 times more clothes than our grandparents had". Another sustainability-friendly source, an amazing upcycling designer @FreyaSimonne, once had this on one of her IG: 'We have another clothing to cloth the next 6 generations, or everyone on the planet for the next 100 years".By looking at the fashion industry biblically and particularly exploring how we buy and manage our wardrobes, we have created this course to enable our students to become shrewd, wise and compassionate consumers of what fashion has to offer.

'SPIRITUALITY IN FASHION'

Much of what we see arising in fashion and show business now is spiritual in its essence and therefore, the understanding of it is deeply rooted in the knowledge of spiritual matters.'SPIRITUALITY IN FASHION, and the Operation "Holy Spirit"' is a 5-week online course that we created to biblically study and tackle some of such matters and where they come from, e.g.:
➤ Psychological disorders linked and/or resulting from some kind of fashion activity (shopoholism, kleptomania, etc.)
➤ Marketing campaigns of certain brands are becoming more and more twisted in their message
➤ Fashion consumers whose appetite for more is dangerously insatiable with no regard for the (mental) health of their own or that of the planetThese and other points are the focus of our attention during this course as accompanied and illustrated with specific case studies. This course is great for fashion designers, artists and all creatives.

'NEW CREATION 101'

'Fashion Damage Control, or NEW CREATION 101' is a 5-week online course that biblically explores human life and man’s compound in its triunity—soul, spirit, and body—using fashion and our strong ties to it as an illustration.Who we are—our identity—is the core out of which every other aspect of life flows. We may educate ourselves (as we should) on the ethics of consumption, pitfalls that fashion poses, the psychology of it; yet in the end of the day, if we do not understand ourselves and how we operate, the knowledge about the external is destined to end up unusable and futile. Our being defines our doing, and it is therefore with our being, that we need to start.The course seeks to teach, disciple, and encourage students to biblically answer the existential ‘who am i’ and practically apply it in their everyday lives.
This course will suit both groups of fashion consumers and fashion professionals alike.

Workshops, webinars, etc.

Another resource for growth that we offer at our ministry is our community groups which we officially introduced in December 2022. Until recently, they were called book clubs and now—workshops.Our workshops are free monthly online calls where we get together as a global faith+fashion community to nurture and equip all visionaries and entrepreneurs in our midst. In other words, if you have a fashion project in mind (or you are already working on something), you are more than welcome to join us on one of these days.Lastly, in the end of 2024, we hosted our first faith+business webinar and by the response that we have received, with God's grace, we will definitely have more of those in the near future, so please stay tuned.
